Il nazismo ha perso. Con esso hanno perso l’odio, la violenza, l’antisemitismo.
L’Hashomer, invece, ha vinto: nel 2015, dopo la recente apertura del Ken di Berlino, l’Europa Shomristica firma un altro successo storico!
Non c’è miglior modo per celebrare il Giorno della Memoria, se non quello di ricostruire ciò che è stato distrutto.
A Varsavia torna ufficialmente il movimento Hashomer Hatzair.
Un gruppo di cinque Madrichim si riunisce settimanalmente per formarsi ideologicamente ed educativamente e ben presto inizieranno le attività educative coi più giovani.
In una Polonia, teatro principale della più terribile della atrocità vissuta dal nostro popolo, ritorna a brillare l’astro dell’Hashomer Hatzair, nata proprio lì, in Galizia, dalla fusione del centro culturale Ze’irei Zion col movimento scout Hashomer nel lontano 1913, ben 102 anni fa.
Il più antico dei movimenti sionisti ancora in vita fu luogo di formazione per il Rosh Ken, Mordechaj Anielewicz, guida, insieme a Marek Edelman, della rivolta insorta a Pesach del 1943 nel Ghetto di Varsavia.
L’apertura di un Ken a Varsavia ha un valore simbolico inestimabile, ma porta con sè anche grandi vantaggi pratici.
Giovani ebrei polacchi avranno l’opportunità di crescere e di educare, di imparare a pensare in grande, di sognare e tentare di realizzarsi.
Un’altra macchia blu spunta in un’Europa dall’economia ristagnante, dall’odio dilagante.
Noi Shomrim Milanesi daremo il meglio di noi per avviare un rapporto intenso e costruttivo coi chaverim di Varsavia.
Oggi non possiamo che essere orgogliosi di essere parte di un movimento che vanta una tale storia ed augurare al Ken di Varsavia di tornare ad essere un Ken vasto e coronato da successi come quello dell’anteguerra!
Le persone muoiono, le idee no.

The opening of a Ken in Warsaw has an incommensurable worth, but it has many practical benefits too.
Young Polish Jews will have the chance now to grow up and educate, to learn and to think big, to dream and attempt to realize dreams.
Another blue spot appears in a Europe with a hopeless economy and a spreading hatred.
Us, Shomrim from Milan will put all our efforts in setting up an intense and constructive relationship with Warsaw’s chaverim.
Today we can just be proud of being part of a movement with such a great past and wish Ken Warsaw to become a great and successful one as it was before the war!
People die, ideas don’t.
